Section 1: Basic Parts of the Marker
ASA
- (
A
ir
S
ystem
A
dapter) used to connect marker to a bottom line or tank
Ball Detent Cover
- Used to cover the ball detent beneath
Barrel
- Long tube to guide the ball and increase accuracy
Beavertail
- Used to keep the cocking rod from smacking you in the face
Bottom Line
- Steel braided tube that sends CO2 from the bottom line adapter to the gas-thru grip
Bottom Line Adapter
- This is what actually holds the tank
Double Trigger
- Trigger made for 2 fingers which makes firing faster and easier
Feed Tube
- Feeds the balls from the hopper to the bolt
Field Strip Pin
- Metal pin that holds the bolt/hammer assembly inside the marker
Gas-Thru Grip
- Basically a handle with CO2 or air flowing through it
Ram Air Chamber
- Chamber with a piston inside to increase low pressure performance
Safety
- Keeps the marker from accidently firing
Sear Release
- Button that releases the sear
Sight Rail
- For mounting a sight
Trigger Frame
- Standard .45 double trigger frame. Houses trigger, sear, & safety
Velocity Adjust Knob
- Tightens the hammer spring so you can adjust velocity
Section 2: Bolt and Hammer Assembly
To get to these parts of the marker pop out the field strip pin on the back of the marker and pull out the internals as shown:
Back Block
- Holds all the peices inside the marker
Bolt
- Acts as a tunnel for the air or CO2 to propell the ball
Bolt Pin
- Connects the Bolt and the Hammer
Cocking Rod
- Used to pull back (cock) the bolt
Hammer
- Pushes on the valve pin to release air or CO2
Hammer Cushion
- Acts as a cushion for the hammer when it blows back to keep it from damaging the back block
Main Spring
- Creates tension for the hammer to push the valve pin. PMI includes 2, a red for high tension (high velocity) and blue for low tension (low velocity)
Spring Guide
- Keeps the spring straight and tension constant during firing
Strip Pin
- Used for easy access to the bolt/hammer assembly
Velocity Adjust
- Tightens or loosens the main spring which in turn changes the velocity
Velocity Lock
- Used to lock the velocity in place during a tournament or other such event
